John Myers graduated from OSU with three bachelor's degrees: in general science in 1969, in mechanical engineering in 1970, and in metallurgical engineering in 1971. He served in the U.S. Army for five years, the National Guard for two years, and is currently president of Myers Mechanical and Metallurgical, Inc. and an associate in AFI Associates. Myers specializes in failure analysis and accident reconstruction and has investigated more than 2,000 accidents involving automobiles, farm machinery, airplanes, helicopters, construction equipment, and industrial machinery. He is a registered professional engineer in ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ, California, and Alaska, and is a commercial pilot and instructor. He is a member of ASME, SAE, ASM, and the American Welding Society.
